The Ferrari F2001 was the 34th Formula 1 racing cars of the Scuderia Ferrari. He participated in all 17 races of the Formula 1 season 2001, and the first three races of the Formula 1 2002 season part and was powered by a V10 engine from Ferrari. With this Race Car Michael Schumacher defended his world title and Ferrari the constructors' championship.

Paint and sponsorship

The F2001 was, like its predecessors, also painted in a lighter shade of red as the classic " Rosso Corsa" since 1997. The main sponsor was the Marlboro cigarette manufacturers. In addition, Shell and the tire supplier Bridgestone were represented as a sponsor.

Driver

It has not changed anything on the driver duo Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello. Furthermore, neither of the two drivers was in a race replaced by another driver. The only test driver Luca Badoer was.

2001 season

The F2001 was the dominant vehicle of the season 2001. 9 wins with him were retracted ( all by Schumacher ), 3 double victories. In each race was at least one driver on the podium.

Besides its speed, the F2001 was characterized by its reliability. Only 5 times was one of the pilots did not finish (twice Schumacher, Barrichello three times ).

Season 2002

Ferrari started with the F2001 in the 2002 season. During the first two races both drivers drove last year's model. In the third race Schumacher moved already to the F2002, Barrichello moved only one race later on the new car.

Results
