History

The Fiat Uno was built from March 1983 to October 1995 in the Italian Fiat Mirafiori plants and Rivalta and sold in Germany. In other countries it was produced even longer; in Brazil and Egypt, he runs even 2012 as the " Mille " from the band. In the 1980s, he was with the Peugeot 205, one of the best-selling import car in the Federal Republic. In Europe, he was for many years the best-selling car.

The Fiat Uno was the first vehicle ever, which was adapted to a largely automatic production with robots. For automatic welding ensured 200 robots, a further 20 took over the painting. The body consists of only 172 individual parts that are connected to only 2700 welding points, of which only 30 have to be set manually. The production facilities were planned so flexible that other models could be produced simultaneously on the same tape in order to react to the demand development.

Technology

All Uno models come standard with gas -filled shock absorbers. On both axes, the wheels run in parallel ( no toe-in) - which reduces rolling resistance and tire wear.
