Filinto Müller

Filinto Strübing Müller ( born July 11, 1900 in Cuiabá, † July 11, 1973 in Orly, France) was a Brazilian politician.

Career

Müller was during the presidency of Getúlio Vargas (1933-1942) Chief of Police in the Distrito Federal. In 1945 he co-founded the Partido Social Democrático. From 1947 he represented the State of Mato Grosso in the Senate and was from 1959 to 1961 as Vice President and President in 1973. From 1969 to 1973 he was chairman of the Aliança Renovadora Nacional ( ARENA ).

He died in a plane crash near the airport Paris -Orly.
