FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1996

The Alpine Ski World 33 took place from 12 to 25 February 1996 in Spain's Sierra Nevada instead. She should have planned to take place in 1995. However, due to the lack of snow in the Sierra Nevada, they had to be canceled with the original forward and was suspended for one year.

The combination slalom of the men was the first World Cup competition ever held in the evening under floodlights.
