Fischer-Chöre

The Fischer choirs are a community of independent mixed choirs from the Stuttgart area, the choir director Gotthilf Fischer.

History

The then 18 -year-old Gotthilf Fischer took over in 1946, the line of the choral society Deizisau at Plochingen in Württemberg. Later followed by other choirs, which then also gave concerts together.

1969 were the choirs in the TV show Three times nine Wim Thoelke and were thus known to a wider audience. In 1971, the first LP by Polydor Records, which was like the following produced by Hans Bertram, made ​​his orchestra for the musical accompaniment appeared. They had several guest appearances on TV also. A milestone in the history of the choir was the appearance at the final of the soccer World Cup in 1974 in Munich. Together with Freddy Quinn sang the chorus the song The Great Game.

This was followed by a small series on television under the title Sing with the Fischer choirs as well as several trips, including to Rome (1976 and 1985 ), Jerusalem and the United States. During the visit with President Jimmy Carter handed Gotthilf Fischer his composition The Peace Fair, which was also sung by the choirs on a long-playing record.

1988 sang the Fischer- choruses the song of the TV lottery Let us sing. In 1989, a girls' choir of the Fischer- choirs with the song The nature on the track at the Grand Prix of folk music part, but reached in the preliminary round only place 6 and therefore could not qualify for the final itself. In the 1980s and 1990s, there were several recordings of concerts of the Fischer choirs that were broadcast in the ARD program and in the south- TV. Furthermore, the choirs were always in various television galas guest.

In the 1990s Gotthilf Fischer received with his choirs at SWR own television series The road of the songs, in which the choirs with an old bus ( SETRA bus, built in 1959) drove through the countryside and darboten their songs in different places. The program was enriched by many stars of the entertainment music. Besides God Help the fisherman opera singer Eva Lind was a few years solid moderator. The series was set in the spring of 2008.

Repertoire

The fishermen choirs are singing mainly folk songs and folk songs. But also include classic works, such as the Ave Verum by Mozart, choirs of Franz Schubert and opera choruses by different composers to the repertoire.

Honors

The LPs of Fischer choirs were repeatedly plated. The choir director also received, inter alia, In 1974, the Hermann- Lons Medal and the Golden Globe in 1975 an honorary Lion of RTL, the golden microphone and the first gold record.
