FK BASK

The FK BASK (full official name in Serbian: Фудбалски клуб БАСК ( Београдски академски спортски клуб ) Fudbalski klub BASK ( Beogradski Akademski sports skiing club ) - BASK stands for Belgrade academic sports club), usually as BASK known, is a Serbian football club from the capital Belgrade, who currently plays in the 3rd Liga. The club was founded in 1903 and is the oldest Serbian football club.

2011 managed the club after the first place in the second league for the first time promotion to the Super League, but BASK was denied due to financial problems or nicherfüllender financial requirements of the class jump, whereby the FK Novi Pazar took his place in the top division of the Serbian Football allowed, while the BASK had to join the in the 3rd league.

History

In 1891, a gymnastics club called Soko was in the capital Belgrade founded on the initiative of the students Andra Nikolić and Hugo Buli, which one paved the way for later establishment of the first football section of the club throughout the region. The sport of football came in the spring of 1896 from the German Empire from Serbia as the Serb- Jewish -born Hugo Buli, the first ball from Berlin brought in the Serbian capital. He showed his friends the sports equipment of the exercise club Soko and founded on May 12, 1896 the football department. Although it was only years later it emerged the creation of the football clubs SK Soko, the football section applies within the sports club Soko from 1896, the first football club in the area of former Yugoslavia. Seven years later, precisely on 18 April 1903, and its consequences, the SK Soko, the forerunner of today's FK BASK, which in its history by making the following changes of name until then:

  • SK Soko ( 1903-33 )
  • BASK ( 1933-45 )
  • FK Senjak ( 1945-53 )
  • FK BASK (1953 -present)

FIFA World Cup 1930 SK Soko sent the goalkeeper Milovan Jakšić, who earned with good performance called " El grande Milovan " and the captain of the Yugoslav national Milutin Ivković.

The greatest success of the club was the final defeat in the Yugoslav football trophy for the state of Serbia in 1959 against Borac Čačak. In the second league BASK played from 2005 to 2007, then was again mediocre to 2010 and managed by the march to excellence within a year.

Stadium

The home stadium of the club is the Careva Ćuprija stadium, which was renovated in 2011 and is now covered with artificial turf, and 2,000 spectators bursts offers.
