Flintsbach ( officially: Flint Bach a.Inn ) is a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim.

Geography

Geographical Location

Flintsbach borders directly south of the larger neighboring community Brann castle. The state road in 2089 and the federal highway 93 through the community. Flint Bach is the junction for Brannenburg directly accessible. To Rosenheim is 17 km, to Oberau village 10 km and the Sudelfeld Bayrischzell 20 km ( toll road). In Flint creek, there is a station on the railway line Rosenheim - Kufstein, which is operated by the hour only by regional trains. History

Flintsbach 986 was first mentioned. Here were, among others, the oldest possessions of the Sigbotonen. Before 1800, Flint Bach was part of the rule of the Counts of Falkenstein Preysing. The place was in the course of administrative reform in Bavaria in 1818 an independent political community.

Music

The band Flint Bach eV was founded in 1907 from members of the Choir Music Society. The timing of the founding of the choral music society can be specified on the basis of research in the archives of the parish of St. Martin in Flint creek between the years 1800 and 1820. Therefore, the band Flint Bach celebrated in 2005, "200 years of brass music Flint Bach" in conjunction with the District Music Festival of the Inn Chiemgau. Currently, the band is one of 53 active musicians and is one of the main cultural institutions of the community.
