FLISOL

The Festival Latinoamericano de Instalación de Software Libre ( FLISOL ) is held annually on the fourth Saturday in April in several cities of Latin America event to the free operating system Linux and free software in general. It is to serve the distribution of free software and networking between their users and developers. Besides a large installation party also presentations, lectures and workshops are held in its frame. It is organized by local Free Software organizations such as Linux User Groups. It is the world's largest event of its kind you will find in each decentralized since 2005 at several places at the same place. In 2005, 8,000 people participated in the largest ever installation party. 2008 was attended by over 200 cities in some 18 countries.
