Florian Schönbeck

Florian Schoenbeck ( born January 13, 1974 in Munich ) is a former German decathlete.

In 1996 he became German Junior Champion. As an adult, he was then for the first time in 1998 on the podium when he took third place. In the same year he came to the fourteenth rank at the European Cup in Tallinn. In 2000, Schonbeck won in Wesel with the personal best of 8,127 points, the German championship.

In 2002 he won with Stefan Schmid and Mike Maczey the European Cup in Bydgoszcz and finished second in the individual standings to fourth place. He was also in this year for the second time German champion and 2003 runner-up. The following year, he reached the all-around meeting Ratingen with 8044 points, second place and qualified for the Olympic Games in Athens, where he finished in twelfth place with 8077 points. 2005 ended Schoenbeck, who started for the LG Domspitzmilch Regensburg, his career.
