History

Posse Up (1999-2000)

Rich Ward founded the band as " Fozzy Osbourne ," which should be a reference to the singer Ozzy Osbourne, first as a pure cover band. The musicians that he needed it, he had together in a week. In 1999 he then met Chris Jericho at a wrestling event and asked him if he would like to sing with Fozzy. Their first gig the band had in Maretta, Georgia. While Jericho played a few sessions with the band, but did not want to enter permanently, because he was very busy at this time with his wrestling career. But when he was sidelined due to an ankle injury for four months, he returned under the pseudonym Moongoose McQueen back in the band and went on tour with them. He made a number of these a fun and always stated that it was for the two to two very different people, but Chris is a huge fan Moongoose.

Fozzy & Happenstance (2000-2002)

The band shortened the name to Fozzy and invented a funny band's history: They went to Japan and signed there at a famous record company to big rock stars to be. The company went bankrupt and they sat there for 20 years and laid the demos that they recorded were stolen and published by other bands. Shortly thereafter, she produced her first album Fozzy on which they covered bands like Dio, Krokus, Twisted Sister, iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, and Judas Priest.

Their second album, Happenstance they brought out in 2002. There was again almost entirely of cover versions of well known metal bands such as Black Sabbath, Scorpions, WASP and Accept.

All That Remains (2003-2006)

After Happenstance Tour 2003, the band revealed their "real" history and Chris also admitted finally that he was also Moongoose. In January 2005 came out the third album All That Remains, can be heard on the exclusive own pieces of the band. For this album, she had strong support from Zakk Wylde ( Black Label Society ), Bonecrusher, Mark Tremonti ( Creed, Alter Bridge ), Myles Kennedy ( Alter Bridge, Slash), Marty Friedman ( Megadeth ) and Butch Walker ( Marvelous 3). The track Enemy was 2005 theme song WWE event No Way Out 2006, and it TNA used for promotional purposes. She also played on the 2005 Download Festival in England.

Chasing the Grail (2009-2011)

Shortly after their album All That Remains appeared, plans for a fourth album were loud.

On 4 March 2009 reported MetalUnderground.com that Fozzy a worldwide deal with the Australian record label Riot! Entertainment had signed to release their fourth album Chasing the Grail. The single " Matyr No More" was the official theme song for WWE Royal Rumble this year. The album was released in the U.S. on January 26, in Australia in February and in Europe in March.

19 February 2011 Jericho announced in an interview that he for a fifth album had the lyrics ready and only needs to be written to the music and the band hope that it would be ready in February 2012. On her Facebook page, the band announced on 4 May 2012 that the recordings were finally completed for the new album.

On 9 September 2011, Paul Di Leo for Sean Delson joined the band, because it wanted to have its full musical attention for another project.

Sin and Bones (2012 )

On January 8, 2012 it was announced that Fozzy has signed a deal with Century Media Records and an album, and later still wanted to release a live DVD. Shortly thereafter, Jericho tweeted " @ FOZZYROCK New album in August ?". Despite his return to the WWE on January 2 presented Fozzy the recordings for the album. The single Sandpaper was again the theme song of the WWE events Hell in a Cell. The album Sin and Bones was released on August 14. After release of the album Jericho left the WWE again, to go with Fozzy on tour in the USA, Australia and Europe. However, Chris Jericho announced that he still joins the WWE in appearance, in that it can be brought into line with FOZZY. The focus lies for him clearly in the music.
