Francis Pangilinan

Francis Nepomuceno " Kiko " Pangilinan ( born August 24, 1963 in Manila ) is a Filipino politician of the Liberal Party and since 2001 member of the Senate of the Philippines.

Life

Study and career

After attending elementary school and high school at De La Salle College, he studied from 1983 to 1986 English language at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City and graduated with a major in comparative literature from. Already during his studies he became politically active and was from 1988 to 1992 Member of the City Council of Quezon City.

Another study of law at the UP Diliman, he finished 1993 with a Bachelor of Laws ( LL.B. ). Senator

In 2001, he was first elected for the Liberal Party senator.
