François Biltgen

François Biltgen ( born September 28, 1958 in Esch- sur -Alzette ) is a Luxembourgian politician and judge at the European Court of Justice.

Life

After school Biltgen studied law. Biltgen is a member of the conservative party Christian Social Party (CSV ). In 1987 he was elected to the city council of Esch- sur -Alzette. In 1994 he succeeded the catchment as a deputy in the Chamber of Députés; in the following elections he was re-elected as an MP in each case. From 2003 to 2009 Biltgen was party leader of the Christian Social People's Party, to his successor Michel Wolter was chosen.
