Frenk " Frenkie " Schinkel ( born January 9, 1963 in Rotterdam) is a football coach and former Dutch- Austrian professional football player who is still active in unterklassigen football.

Career as a football player

Originating in the Netherlands

Frenk Schinkel lived through his football education in the Netherlands, where he began as an 8- year-old at Feyenoord Rotterdam and as a 16- year old has signed his first contract as a professional player. With his former coach Jan Mak of highly talented midfielder went in early 1981 to the Swedish club Halmstad BK and returned two years later returned to the Netherlands. With AZ Alkmaar and Excelsior Rotterdam Schinkel played in the Dutch Eredivisie, until at a game he went through in 1985 once the nerves and he insulted a referee, it dealt a blow to the leg and was suspended for eight months. The jump to Austria

Hugo Hovenkamp, former legionnaire at Wacker Innsbruck, persuaded the professional football player to keep going and offered him in the summer of 1985 at the Tyrolese. They decided to Hansi Müller as playmaker, but Hovenkamp did not give up and eventually brought Schinkel in the fall of 1985 at the former first division Salzburger AK 1914, where the 1.68 m wide midfielder immediately proved his skill. National

Schinkel in 1993 was awarded the SV Austria Salzburg Austrian runner, but returned in 1994 for a short time again for VSE St. Pölten back. In summer 1994, he received again a performance-based contract with the Vienna Austria, came under coach Egon Coordes but not a single championship use. Career as a coach

After ending his active career, Schinkel decided to remain faithful to the football, and acquired with the UEFA professional license the highest Instructor Training in the football business. For a time he acted more as a player coach at unterklassigen SC Stattersdorf before accepting his first post in the pure trainer Kremser SC 1995. Although he led the club to the championship of the Lower Austrian league, he was dismissed after a dispute with President Herbert Steininger at the end of the season. He then trained again as player-coach of the FC Striker 19 St. Pölten, with whom he think won the match 1996/97 season the champion of the second division West and thus ascended to the first division and there established until his retirement in 1998. Later in the Regional League East followed the ASK Kottingbrunn (2000/2001) and from 2002 the SKN St. Pölten ( fourth place in 2004 and Cup quarter-finals after victories over Wörgl, SW Bregenz Austria Salzburg ( 5:1). Schinkel became known as football expert at the TV station Premiere Austria a name and acted as organizer of the St. Pölten soccer camps for players and goalkeepers.

The Chief Scout for Master Trainer

In December 2004, Schinkel was brought by Frank Stronach as chief scout for Vienna Austria. On May 6, 2005, he was succeeded by the dismissed Betreuerduo Günter Kronsteiner and Lars Søndergaard as a coach. For now, he shared his duties with the newly appointed team manager Peter Stoeger. Four weeks after its premiere at the Purple He celebrated his first success on the team bench with the Cup win in 2005.

The 2005/06 season began with a short negative Schinkel series of Austria, and the first " Stinkels out" posters and shouts from the fans. After a successful championship last third of the trained by him won Austria on May 6, 2006 changed its 23 Austrian Championship title with a 2-1 win over FC Wacker Innsbruck with simultaneous defeat of FC Red Bull Salzburg vs Traun. Schinkel acted then again, as before his involvement with the Vienna Austria, as an expert in the TV broadcaster Premiere. On 7 November 2006 he was co-opted to the Board of SKN St. Pölten, where he was Advisor to the Board. On 22 May 2007 Schinkel took over the coaching job at the former Regional Club 1.FC Vöcklabruck, where he was a master of the autumn season 2007/ 08 on the way to lead the team in the first league. During the winter break of the season 2007/ 08 the separation of Vöcklabrucker Schinkel was was sporting director at the Bundesliga club SK Austria Kärnten. On 24 February 2008, he took over from Klaus Schmidt as coach for the remainder of the season 2007/08. The team lost in their first game under Schinkel with 0:2 goals against SK Rapid Vienna in their own stadium. Ultimately, however, he managed to fix almost impossible held relegation on the penultimate lap with a goalless draw against SV Ried.

In the 2008 /09 season he wanted to lead the sporting life of the association as a manager; a young coaches should join the team. Schinkel, who signed a contract until 30 June 2013, but had to remain coach of the team and was the liaison to the Board. Private life

Frenk Schinkel is married in second marriage with his wife Romana. The two have a son. From his first marriage with his wife, Esther, whom he had known in the Netherlands since the days of his youth, he has four daughters. Esther was his great childhood sweetheart and moved to Austria with him in 1985. After the birth of their first joint subsidiary in 1987 he led them to the altar. In 1995, Esther Schinkel in a traffic accident. Schinkel lives in St. Pölten. His nephew Thiery, even amateur football players, including from 2011 when unterklassigen UFC notch field in the Waldviertel, was sentenced in September 2012 to three years in prison after he had traded with a total of 25,000 tablets of ecstasy and was soon arrested on; initially threatened him even 15 years in prison.

Frenk Schinkel participated in the seventh season of the ORF - entertainment show Dancing with the Stars part in which he managed with his professional dance partner Roswitha Wieland to the finals, but his opponent Petra Frey (together with professional dancer Vadim Garbuzov ) was beaten there. As part of the 2012 European Championship, Frenk Schinkel analyzed alternately with other former professional football players (such as Herbert Prohaska ) the games of the European Championship for the ORF.
