Frankfurt ( Main) Taunusanlage station is an underground S- Bahn stop of the City Tunnel Frankfurt in the center of Frankfurt am Main. The station is located in the district Westend-Süd on the border with neighboring downtown and the train station area. The namesake of the station is the nearby park Taunus conditioning, a section of the Frankfurt city walls, the annular surround the city center.
The station belongs to category 3 station and was opened along with the first section of the City Tunnel in May 1978. It consists of two tracks which are located on a central platform.
The escalators are set around the German bank skyscraper. The station is a major hub for commuters as close, many companies, especially from the financial sector, have their headquarters. The area around the S-Bahn station is therefore also known as the financial district.
Connection
The station is serviced exclusively by S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S8 and S9. Except for the S -Bahn line S7, run every S-Bahn S-Bahn Rhein -Main on the station. It offers connecting flights to the bus lines 64, n1, n2, and n11.
