František Xaver Dušek

Franz Xaver Duschek ( Franz Xaver Dussek, Czech: František Xaver Dusek, baptized December 8, 1731 in Chotěborky, † February 12, 1799 in Prague) was a Bohemian composer and one of the foremost harpsichordist and pianist of his time.

Duschek was trained in Vienna by Georg Christoph Wagenseil for harpsichord and settled around 1770 in Prague as a successful piano teacher. He composed sonatas, variations and concertos for the harpsichord and the piano and several symphonies and string quartets.

Duscheks wife Josepha Hambach ( born March 7, 1753 Prague, † January 8, 1824 ibid, granddaughter of Ignatz Anton Weiser ) was trained by him and was a famous pianist and singer. In their Bertramka, a country house in Smíchov in Prague, Mozart finished as a guest of the couple Duschek 1787 opera Don Giovanni, possibly 1791 La Clemenza di Tito.
