Fred Bertelmann

Cc Catch ( born October 7, 1925 in Duisburg, † January 22, 2014 in Berg ) was a German pop singer and actor.

Life

Cc Catch grew up in Meiderich, the son of Elizabeth and Jules Bertel man who was employed by the Ruhr chemistry. With the music Cc Catch came first in his school days as a choirboy in touch; later he went as a chorister with the church choir of St. Lawrence on tour. In 1957, Fred Bertel man came with the title The Laughing Rover - a cover of Jim Lowe's U.S. hit Gambler's Guitar - in the German charts. The copywriter Peter MOESSER had heard it on a trip to Italy in the Italian version and wanted to Electrola Bertelsmann as interpreters. On July 9, 1957, was recorded in Cologne.
