Frederick IV, Burgrave of Nuremberg

Frederick IV of Nuremberg (* 1287 (or later); † May 19, 1332 ) was Burggraf of Nuremberg from the House of Hohenzollern.

Life

Frederick was the son of Burggraf Friedrich III. and Helene of Saxony. He took over the Burggrafenamt when his older brother John I in 1300 after only three years on the throne died. Friedrich IV lost as a royal army commander the Battle of Lucka on May 31, 1307 consisting of the House of Habsburg and the Margrave of Meissen Frederick the Bitten, also known as Frederick the free digestion and the Margrave in a dispute between Albrecht I. Lausitz, Dietrich IV.

In 1322, the Viscount decided by a successfully executed ambush, the Battle of Mühldorf and this took the Habsburg counter- caught King Frederick the Handsome of Austria. 1331 Frederick IV acquired the town of Ansbach for the Hohenzollern family by purchase. A year later, Frederick died, and was succeeded by his son John II

Frederick IV was married to Margaret of Carinthia († 1348 ). Their children were:
