Frederick William Adolf, Prince of Nassau-Siegen

Frederick William I, Adolf ( * February 20, 1680, † February 13, 1722 ) was Prince of Nassau-Siegen and builder of the Lower Castle.

He was the eldest son of William Moritz, Prince of Nassau-Siegen and Ernestina Charlotte to Nassau- Dillenburg. At the death of his father, Frederick William was only 11 years old. Therefore, Johann Franz Desideratus first took over the regency in Nassau- Siegen, then his son Wilhelm Hyacinth.
