French submarine Perle (S606)

The Pearl (S 606) is a tactical nuclear submarine of the French Navy. The name refers to a method used in World War II submarine the sapphire - class and means pearl. Pearl ( S 606) is the sixth and last thus built submarine of the Rubis class.

Together with the Améthyste (S 605) was the submarine an evolution of the Rubis class and is therefore referred to in various sources as the boat Améthyste class.
