The Gambia Party for Democracy and Progress ( GPDP ) ( German Gambian Party for Democracy and Progress ) is a small political party in Gambia. The motto of the party is: English "In God We Trust" = " In God we trust ".

History

The GPDP founded in 2004, is run by Henry Gomez, who wanted to compete with his party and in the 2006 presidential elections for the first time. But as he had lived for a time in Hamburg and not the last five years in the Gambia, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) had rejected his candidacy in accordance with the Constitution. Then supported the GPDP, together with the National Reconciliation Party ( NRP), the candidate of the United Democratic Party ( UDP).
