Game Arts

K. K. Game Arts (own font. GAME ARTS Co., Ltd. ) (Japanese株式会社 ゲーム アーツ, Kabushiki - gaisha gemu ATSU ) is a Japanese manufacturer of video games. Game Arts is known for its console role-playing games, including the series Grandia and Lunar.

History

The company was founded in 1985 as a computer software company, where they produced a lot of handheld games. The aim was to create a new dimension of video games, which has its focus in the arts. Game Arts is a member of CESA ( Computer Entertainment Supplier 's Association ) in Japan and collaborates with companies such as Square Enix, Bandai, Koei and Gung- Ho Online Entertainment.

As the first game by Game Arts, the action game Thexder could prove which appeared for the personal computer. Also a variety of Mahjong -related games were produced for Japanese events. But in the western world Game Arts is better known for the role playing Grandia and Lunar. Employees of the company have even helped to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was released for the Wii.

On 22 April 2009 published the first Grandia Game Arts section on PlayStation Network to advertise give informations of Grandia Online. Was also well-known given that the company will continue to work on Grandia parts.
