Gare de Châtelet – Les Halles

The train station in Paris Châtelet - Les Halles, is a 1977 eröffneter tunnel train station in the center of the French capital.

Around 750,000 passengers use the station per day, of which 493,000 for the lines of the RER. This makes it one of the most popular stations in the world.

The train station at the underground shopping mall Forum des Halles is the intersection of the RER lines A, B and D and has connecting tunnel to the stations Châtelet and Les Halles Paris Métro. The latter is located west of the RER train station, while the station Châtelet drags south to the Seine, where is located the eponymous Place du Châtelet. Since the stations are up to 500 meters apart, have some of the connecting tunnel on moving walkways

Future

The tourists and Parisians alike bewildering and confusing tangle of the station since its establishment already provides material for discussion. Through the construction of new escalators and improving the lighting in the short term remedy is to be created here. The future output Saint Honore will allow direct access to the RER trains from the Rue des Halles and Rue de Rivoli from.
