Gargaliani (Greek Γαργαλιάνοι ( m. pl. ) ) Is a Greek town in Messinia in the Peloponnese. From 1912 to 2010 she was an independent municipality, from 1944 as a township ( dimos ). With the administrative reform of 2010, this church went up in the newly created municipality Trifylia, where she has since formed one of six municipal districts.

Location

Gargaliani is located on the east coast of the Messinian Peninsula to the Ionian Sea. Population

The Greek census of 2001, for the community identified a population of 9,083. This figure does not including the civil ceremony reported residents and real living in the community, it is too high. History

Neither the establishment of the village Gargaliani yet about the etymology of his name further details are known.
