Gargara (Greek Γάργαρα ), also Gargaris ( Γαργαρίς ), was an ancient city in Asia Minor Troad on the coast of the Gulf of Adramyttion, south of the present village Arıklı in the northwest of present-day Turkey.

The city was on a spur ( now called Koca Kaya ) of the Ida Mountains, whose highest peak, which is also called Gargara ( Kaz Dagi today ), it received its name, between Antandros and Assos.

Gargara regarded as aeolian foundation. The city was in the 5th century BC to the Delian League. In the Hellenistic period settlement ( partial) was moved to the coast and strengthened by resettlement from Miletoupolis. As a port Gargara had meaning even in the Roman Empire.

On the sunken Byzantine bishopric Gargara the titular Gargara the Roman Catholic Church is declining.
