Gaza Governorate

The government Gaza (Arabic محافظة غزة, DMG Muhafazat Gazza ) is one of five administrative districts of the Palestinian Authority in the Gaza Strip. The district capital, also called Muḥāfaẓa, is the city of Gaza City. According to the Palestinian Bureau of Statistics, the government has mid-year 2006 505.700 inhabitants. All parliamentary seats were won in the election of January 2006 by Hamas. The chairman of the government of Muhammad has Qadura.
