Geoff Sarjeant

Geoff I. Sarjeant ( born November 30, 1969 in Orillia, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. During his career he played for the St. Louis Blues and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League as well as the mosquitoes eating in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

Sarjeant played for four years from 1988 to 1992 at Michigan Technological University, where he completed his studies at the same time. During this time he was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the NHL Supplemental Draft, 1990 to 16th position.

For the 1992/93 season, the Canadian became a professional and stood first in goal for the Peoria Rivermen, the farm team of the blues from the International Hockey League. After good performances between 1992 and 1995, in 1994 earned him a nomination for the First All -Star team of the IHL, the blues appealed to Canadians during the 1994/95 season in the NHL squad, where he came to four inserts. His contract was not renewed, despite his achievements and so he joined in September 1995 as a free agent with the San Jose Sharks, who also put him four times in the NHL. In subsequent years, Sarjeant ran exclusively for teams in the Minor Leagues on, mainly from the IHL before moving to Europe in 1999. There he played a year in the UK and in the season 2000 /01 in Germany at the mosquitoes eating in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. In the summer of 2001, he finished his career.
