Georg, Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe
Stephan Albrecht Georg of Schaumburg -Lippe ( born October 10, 1846 in Biickeburg, † April 29, 1911 in Biickeburg ) was from 1893 to 1911, Prince of Schaumburg -Lippe.
Life
Prince George was born on October 10, 1846 in Biickeburg. He was the son of Prince Adolf I of Schaumburg-Lippe (1817-1893) and Hermine of Waldeck -Pyrmont (1827-1910), daughter of Prince Georg Heinrich of Waldeck -Pyrmont and Emma of Anhalt- Bernburg - Schaumburg- Hoym. After an initial military training, he entered the University of Göttingen and devoted himself as an officer of Schaumburg -Lippe Battalion the military affairs.
After the 7th Westphalian Infantry Battalion had been moved from Kleve to Biickeburg due to the closed between Prussia and Schaumburg -Lippe 1867 military convention, he served in this rank of captain. He - like his father - 1870/71 at the Battle of France in part and later served in the 11th Hussars in Dusseldorf; In 1876 he was transferred to the Life Guards Hussar Regiment in Potsdam, where he remained until 1879.

Marriage and issue
On April 16, 1882 he married in Altenburg Princess Marie Anne of Saxe-Altenburg, the daughter of Prince Moritz of Saxe- Altenburg and Augusta of Saxe-Meiningen. The marriage produced nine children were born:
