Georgian National Badminton Championships

Georgian championships in badminton are aligned with the collapse of the Soviet Union since the 1990/1991 season irregularly from Georgian Badminton Association. The discharge of Junior Championships began a year later. The majority of the tournament was held in the capital Tbilisi. Junior Championships have been documented since 1992, team championships since 1991. International Championships of Georgia does not yet exist.

The championships were from the USSR Championship forth in badminton. After the collapse of the Soviet Union Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine launch their own championships within the European Badminton Union EBU, while Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, a new home in the Asian Badminton Association found.
