Germany national bandy team
The German Bandynationalmannschaft the gentlemen representing Germany at international bandy competitions.
History
The German Bandy Association was incorporated in June 2013 in the Federation of International Bandy. The first game after the start-up took place in a friendly tournament in Rinkbandy in Nijmegen on 28 September 2013. Most players are Russian stocky. End of January 2014 the team took part in the Bandy World Championships in Irkutsk. Starting in the B- group of B - World Cup there were in the group stage victory over Somalia, a draw against Japan and two defeats against Mongolia and against Ukraine. In the B- World Cup quarter- finals Germany lost with 3:9 against Latvia. By a final 5-4 over Ukraine Germany was 15th among 17 participants.
Given the lack of bandy ice in Germany trained the team on Hockey springs and participates in Rink Bandy tournaments.
