Geography

Gerwisch lies on the western edge of the Flämings, four kilometers away from the river Elbe. The surrounding area is agricultural soils with medium quality.

Climate

History

Years ago, about 150,000 people already settled in what is now Gerwischer area, as evidenced by the Gerwischer hand ax, which was found during excavations.
