Nature reserve

The Gerzensee is a lake between the villages Gerzensee, mill village and parish village in the canton of Bern, Switzerland.

Its water level is at an average altitude of 603 meters above the sea. The lake is deep at normal water level on average about 8.5 m and a maximum of 11 m and has an area of 0.25 km ², making it one of the medium-sized Alpine foothills lakes in Switzerland.

Location

The Gerzensee is located on the southeast slope of Belpberg between the Aare Valley and the Gürbental in a hundred meters above the two valleys lying, hilly landscape. Its northern half is part of the territory of the municipality Gerzensee, the southern half share mill village and Kirchdorf.

Environment

Use
