Gibril Sankoh ( born May 15, 1983 in Freetown, Sierra Leone) is a Dutch football player with roots from Sierra Leone.

Career

Association

Gibril Sankoh began playing football in his native Sierra Leone in Freetown Royal Stars. He left in 2002 to De Kennemers Beverwijk. In summer 2004, he joined the second division Stormvogels Telstar. After one season, he moved to first division club FC Groningen. There he was able to eventually prevail as a regular player and completed 150 games. In May 2010 he moved to the German second division club free transfer FC Augsburg. With the Augsburgers he was runner-up in the 2010/11 season and reached with the club the first promotion to the Bundesliga.
