Gift Leremi

Gift Mpho Leremi ( born October 13, 1984 in Soweto, † September 3, 2007 at Alberton ) was a South African football player.

Club career

The attacking midfielder played as a teenager for the Pimville Giants. Then he went to the Orlando Pirates, in which he gave on 10 August 2002 against Moroka Swallows his debut in the first division. In summer 2007, he moved to the reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns. On 3 September 2007 he was on the way back from a football match in the CAF Confederation Cup in Cameroon in a traffic accident in Alberton killed.

National

2004 and 2005 was four times Leremi in the South African national team in action. He made his debut on 17 November 2004 in Johannesburg in a 2-1 victory in a friendly match against Nigeria. His last assignment for Bafana Bafana he had on 13 July 2005 in the group game against Guatemala during the CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States.
