Gil Montandon

Gil Montandon ( born April 28, 1965 in Neuchâtel ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who is the head coach since 2011 when HC Université Neuchâtel. He was particularly known as a player of the SC Bern, with whom he 1991, 1992 and 1997, won the Swiss Championship. He was the first player in the Swiss National League A, which ran aground in 1000 NLA games. His career ended in 2009 with Fribourg- Gottéron.

His sons and Maxime Arnaud Montandon Montandon play hockey. While Arnaud has already gained experience in the National League A, Maxime played so far in the Elite A junior from Fribourg- Gottéron.

For the Swiss national ice hockey team Gil Montandon played at the Olympic Games in 1988 and 1992. He represented Switzerland also at the B World Championships 1986, 1989, 1990 and 1994 and the A World Championships 1987, 1991, 1992 and 1993. Montandon graduated for Switzerland 156 internationals.
