Gil Young-ah

Gil Young- ah (Korean 길영아; born April 11, 1970 in Ansan ) is a former badminton player from South Korea.

Career

At the 1991 World Championships Gil Young- ah won with her partner Shim Eun -jung the bronze medal in doubles. At the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, the two were able to repeat their performance and also won bronze. Gil joined his partner, launched together with Chung So -young at the World Championships in 1993 and again won bronze. After another change of partner Gil Young- ah launched together with Jang Hye- ock at the World Championships in 1995 and reached the final at this time double. In this, the two were victorious and thus won the gold medal. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta Gil and Jang attended the double tournament and won silver after the Chinese women Gu Jun and Ge Fei was defeated in the finals.
