Gintaras Januševičius

Gintaras Janusevicius (born 16 January 1985 in Moscow) is a Lithuanian pianist. His repertoire includes interpretations of works by Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Liszt and Mussorgsky, as well as many works by Lithuanian composers.

Biography

Training

Gintaras Janusevicius was born in Moscow into a family of musicians. His father is of Lithuanian Algirdas Janusevicius trumpeter and his mother the Tatar - Jewish composer Nailia Galiamova. 1987 left the Moscow family and moved to Klaipeda in Lithuania. Janusevicius began his musical training at the age of four years at the Eduardas - Balsys School of Arts Klaipeda. In 1993, the family decided to move to the capital Vilnius, where his father was appointed principal trumpet of the Lithuanian State Orchestra, which was led by Gintaras Rinkevičius. Gintaras Janusevicius lives in Hanover, Germany since 2004.
