Giovanni Arcangeli

Giovanni Arcangeli ( born July 18, 1840 in Florence, † July 16, 1921 in Pisa ) was an Italian botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Arcang. ".

In 1880 he became a professor in Turin. From 1882 he was director of the Botanical Garden of Pisa. The plant genus Arcangelisia Becc. from the family of Moon seed plants ( Menispermaceae ) has been named after him.
