Giuseppe d' Annibale

Giuseppe D' Annibale ( born September 22, 1815 in Borbona, Italy, † July 17, 1892 ibid ) was a theologian and cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life and work

Giuseppe D' Annibale, who grew up in modest circumstances, studied theology and philosophy, was founded in September 1838 subdeacon and deacon in March 1839. Later, he received his doctorate in civil and canon law. On September 21, 1839 he was ordained a priest. By 1850, he remained in Borbona before he was in 1851 professor of moral theology at the seminary in Rieti. 1852 D' Annibale Vicar General of the Diocese of Rieti. After the death of Bishop Gaetano Carletti, he served as vicar until 1871, the official business before the later Cardinal Egidio Mauri new bishop was. Leo XIII. appointed him on August 12, 1881 titular bishop of Carystus.
