Geography
Geographical Location
Gölenkamp is located northwest of Nordhorn. The community belongs to the Uelsen, which has its headquarters in the town of Uelsen.

History
Incorporations
On March 1, 1974, the neighboring community Haftenkamp was incorporated.
Policy
Parish council
The Gölenkamper council is composed of nine Council members, all of them men. They were last elected in the municipal elections of Lower Saxony in 2011.
Mayor
Current mayor Gölenkamps, Jan Beniermann, who was re- elected in November 2011.

Structures
Spöllberg
In the cemetery on Spöllberg ( Spielberg ) a golden cup in 1840 found.
Kunstwegen
Within the project kunstwegen was placed a 270 meter long anchor chain, 1999 at the Spöllberg. The anchor chain was laid with great rebellion of residents to the Spöllberg, even the NDR reported at the time.
Barrow
To Gölenkamp there are several burial mounds from the Bronze Age.
