Gomponsom Department

Gomponsom is both a municipality (French commune Rurale ) and a comprehensive department of the same territory in the West African state of Burkina Faso in the Northern Region and the province Passoré. The municipality has 18 259 inhabitants in 15 villages.

Mayor Souleymane Zida than Naaba Kougri also traditional village chief. Gomponsom has a twin town in France: Ernée.
