Grabfeld, Thuringia

Grave field is a municipality belonging to a county in the Frankish embossed south of Thuringia and is located in the district of Schmalkalden- Meiningen. It is near the border with Bavaria and comprises the northern area of the eponymous region grave field which drains mainly via Jüchse Bibra and to Werra, while almost all other grave box belongs to the catchment area of the River Main. The municipality was established on December 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reorganization in Thuringia from the merger of ten municipalities hitherto politically independent. Previously, these communities were merged to perform their administrative affairs in the administration of Community grave field. On February 17, 2008 Ingo Hein was elected as mayor. On January 12, 2014, the competitor Christian Seeber won the mayoral election and became the new mayor of grave field.

History

Precursor of the municipality grave field was the same in administrative matters. It was formed on 1 March 1991 and was one of the first of its kind in the Free State of Thuringia. Office of the Management Community was Rentwertshausen. On 1 December 2007, it was converted into a unified community. The administrative headquarters of this new community is not yet determined, for the time being it is located at the headquarters of the former administration community in the district Rentwertshausen. On 1 January 2012, the Schillerort Bauer Bach joined ( grave field) in the community.

The districts Bauer Bach, Exdorf, Jüchsen, Obendorf and Queienfeld were affected by witch hunts.

The council is made up of 20 council women and men. Since the municipal election held on 7 June 2009, he belong to each 10 representatives of the CDU and the Free Voters.

Mayor

The full-time mayor Christian Seeber was elected on 12 January 2014. He was the chairman of the joint management Feldstein in Themar.
