Spells are learned in Grandia II character independently through so-called Mana Eggs ( Mana Eggs ). They have the ability to "learn" to certain spells ( all spells in five steps), and the one character who is equipped with the egg, this can conjure up (if he has enough magic points )

Furthermore, each character 's special skills that can be developed or learned in the course of the game ( order and strength are completely determined by the player ).

To help, there are also skill books ( books skills ), operating from the principle like mana eggs, only they do not constitute new spell available, but for example, increase the HP or the intelligence of a character permanently.
