Grant Clitsome
Grant Clitsome ( born April 14, 1985 in Gloucester, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since February 2012 at the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League contract.
Career
Grant Clitsome has already been selected as a junior player in the NHL Entry Draft in the ninth round in 2004 when a total of 271 players from the Columbus Blue Jackets. He then visited the next four years, the Clarkson University, for their hockey team he played in parallel in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. In 2007 he won it with his team the championship of the ECAC Hockey. A year later he was elected to the first All-Star team ECAC hockey, and in the second All- American team in the Eastern Conference of the NCAA. Towards the end of the 2007/08 season was the defender made his debut in professional hockey, as he stood for Columbus' farm team at that time the Syracuse Crunch in a game in the American Hockey League on the ice. In the following two years he played mostly for Syracuse in the AHL, where he in eleven games for Columbus in the National Hockey League was in season 2009/10, parallel to the ice, while three points scorer, including a goal scored.
In the season 2010/11 Clitsome ran parallel for Columbus in the NHL and their new farm team in the AHL Springfield Falcons. For the NHL team the Blue Jackets, he scored four goals and 15 assists in 31 games. On 27 February 2012 the Winnipeg Jets selected to present on the Waiverliste actor and secured his services.
