The gray head is a survey in the German Taunus low mountain range and has a height of 543.4 m above sea level. NN.

Location

The mountain is located in the western Hintertaunus, in the Nature Area subdivision 304.1 Western Aartaunus ( Kemeler Heath ) in a vast forest area, between Holzhausen an der Haide ( Rhineland -Palatinate ) and Heidenrod - Laufenselden (Hesse), just 100 meters from the border away on Hessian territory. The border between Hesse and Rhineland -Palatinate reached here, apart from the High Westerwald again, with 530 meters its highest point. The gray head is on the leading further south ridge which forms the watershed between the Mühlbach and the Wisper in the west and the Dörsbach and the Aar and the East.
