Greens (South Tyrol)

Verdi Green Editions are an Eco-Social Party in South Tyrol, which is based on the principles of the Greens / European Free Alliance and the Italian Federazione dei Verdi was one party that they have played a major role. The Green Party of South Tyrol have emerged from the political and social environment of the New Left / Nuova Sinistra, the environmental movement and the South Tyrolean Students' Union ( sh.asus ). Municipal elections in 2010 and 2009 European elections

In the city of Bolzano, the Greens at the center-left alliance around the Bürgermeisterkanditaten Luigi Spagnolli the Democratic Party ( PD) have been involved. According to the clear electoral victory they are again represented in the City Council, where they manage the areas of culture, active coexistence, environmental and equal opportunities. In the 2009 European elections failed, the two candidates of the South Tyrolean Greens and managed the move is no longer in the European Parliament.

Municipal elections in 2005 and 2004 European elections

In the city of Bolzano, where they were involved in the narrow election victory of a center-left alliance and the SVP, the Greens have currently holds the Department of Social Services in the city government.
