Grind (skateboarding)

Grind (English: to grind = " grind " to "slip " ) is a technical term from the skateboard and the Aggressive Inline scene, which is now also used in the BMX scene.

With skateboarding being the slides along with two or only one axle of a skateboard on a rail or curb. Here, depending on the orientation of the board to the edge, and the axis used between different variations differed ( 50-50, 5-0, nosegrind, K -Grind, Salad Grind, Smith Grind, etc.). If not slipped on the axes but on the board, this is called a slide.

There are also so-called Grind shoes that are provided with a Grind sole in the arch region and allow the grind of stone and metal edges, for example in urban areas.
