Großstübing is a municipality with 342 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria, in the district of Graz-Umgebung and judicial district of Graz -West. From 1 January 2015 it has joined forces framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the community of German Feistritzwerke, the new community will be called " German Feistritzwerke " to continue.

Geography
Geographical Location
Großstübing is located about 20 km northwest of the provincial capital of Graz in Stübing ditch, a tributary of the Murtal. The community is surrounded by several mountains over 1,000 meters above sea level: the Muhlbacher Kogel (1050 m) in the southeast, and the Bamederkogel ( 1160 m), the Scherer mountain ( 1208 m) and the Pammeggkogel ( 1090 m ) in the west.

History
The village dog village is mentioned in documents in 1278. The local church as an autonomous body created in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria, 1945-1955, she was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

Großstübing is off the main roads. These are out of the valley on the neighboring community of German Feistritzwerke be reached in about 10 miles: the Phyrn motorway A 9 through node German Feistritzwerke (165 ), the Brucker Straße S 35 and the Grazer Straße 67 B
The nearest railway station Stübing is approximately 8 km away in Kleinstübing and provides access to the Austrian Southern Railway with hourly train connections to Graz, Bruck an der Mur.
Graz Airport is about 40 km away.
