Grünendeich

Grunendeich ( Low German: Greundiek ) is a municipality in the district of Stade in Lower Saxony. The community belongs to the Samtgemeinde Liihe, which has its headquarters in the town of stone churches.

Parish council

The council is made up as follows:

  • CDU 5 seats
  • SPD 3 seats
  • FWG 2 seats
  • Alliance 90/The Greens 1 seat

The municipal director of the Council has ordered the velvet municipality mayor Hans Jarck.

In silver green divided shield, above a growing four times red silver split lighthouse where ever a golden rotberandetes beacon goes up to the lateral plate edges; below two silver rose flowers with golden slugs and red sepals juxtaposed.

Traffic

In Grunendeich the ferry dock Liihe, run by the two shipping lines is:

  • Liihe -Schulau ferry to Wedel, from November to March Monday to Friday only
  • HADAG ferry to Hamburg, St. Pauli landing bridges, only on weekends from May to October

Both boat connections are not connected to the Hamburg Transport Association.

In addition, in Grunendeich operate three bus lines, all operated by the CCG Stade and Hamburg traffic group are connected:

  • Stade 2357 - Hollern - Stone Church - York - Hamburg - Cranz;
  • 2030 Buxtehude - dam Hausen - York - Borstel - stone churches (weekdays only );
  • 2033 Grunendeich - stone churches - Horne Castle (only on school days );
  • As well as several corporate and school-related shipping services.
