Guaiba is a town with 96 467 inhabitants in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. It lies about 25 km west of Porto Alegre at the Rio Guaiba. Adjacent are the places Eldorado do Sul (NW), Barra do Ribeiro ( S) and Mariana Pimentel (S). Originally Guaiba was part of Munizips Porto Alegre.
