History

Gültz

Gültz was since 1484 in the feudal possession of the family of Malt tooth. Only from 1569 to 1646 it was owned by the family of Preen, but was then acquired again from the Malt tooth back. After the death of Albrecht Hermann von Malt tooth that fell as a Prussian Major in 1742 at the Battle of Chotusitz, inherited his cousin Axel Albrecht von Maltzahn the estate. Axel Albrecht, district administrator in Swedish Pomerania, later also in the Prussian part of Pomerania, the so-called Alt- Vorpommern, the adjoining Good Prützen acquired it. Helmuth Ludwig Wilhelm von Malt tooth was 1868-1872 a neoclassical mansion from Schwerin Baurat Georg Daniel set up as an architect. The house was two stories, three stories in the central projection and dreiecksübergiebelt. It has seen from a right-side village square tower. During this time, the English landscape park was created. After the Second World War, the family of Malt tooth was expropriated. Last owner of the comprehensive 1000 hectares was good Helene Luise baroness of Malt tooth. In the mansion a vocational school (BBS Georg Ewald Gültz ) was housed. Between 1980 and 1988 the house was restored. What is surprising is the structural integrity after 20 years of vacancy. A view through the window shows the beautifully restored and colored stucco work.
